THE SKINNY: The host Zee-Bees won their 15th straight game and improved 18-1 overall and 7-0 in the North Suburban Lake with a convincing win over Mundelein (2-19, 0-6).
THE TURNING POINT: Zion trailed 26-25 with 4:30 left in the first half, then went on an 18-2 run during a 6:28 span around halftime to take command. Milik Yarbrough had seven points and Trenton Curry six in the blitz.
THE STAR: Yarbrough was 11-of-16 from the field, and finished with 26 points, five rebounds and seven assists. He now has 2,358 career points, 49 short of the all-time Lake County scoring record.
BY THE NUMBERS: Zion was 38-of-58 shooting, 2-of-4 from distance and had 31 rebounds. Thirteen different Bees scored, with Admiral Schofield and Trenton Curry each getting 11 and Jerome Davis 10. Mundelein was 23-of-69 shooting, 10-of-33 from distance. It had 22 rebounds. Derek Parola had 18 points, Nick Brune 17 and Sam Nelson 15.
