Prentiss Nixon , Bolingbrook topple Lincoln-Way East

Prentiss Nixon scored 15 of his game-high 19 points in the first half to help Bolingbrook cruise to a 54-38 victory against visiting Lincoln-Way East on Friday.

Bolingbrook outscored Lincoln-Way East 18-5 in the second quarter to erase an 11-10 deficit and breeze to the SouthWest Suburban Blue victory.


Bolingbrook (10-2, 4-0) went on an 11-0 run beginning in the final minute of the first quarter and stretched it into a 20-3 explosion to take a 28-16 halftime lead. East (3-10, 0-4) never got closer than eight points the rest of the way.


The Raiders’ Prentiss Nixon scored 11 points in the second quarter, 15 in the first half and led all scorers with 19 points. He also contributed nine rebounds, five steals and four assists.


Gage Davis chipped in with 13 points for Bolingbrook, including seven in the third quarter. Jackson Bax scored all of his 13 points in the second half for the Griffins.
