Alex Foster (left), Keala Davis (girl) and Jabari Parker. Sun-Times Library
That is the first picture the Sun-Times ever published of Jabari Parker. It's from 2007, shot for a story on future Olympic athletes from Chicago. So if any other news outlet tells you they were first on Parker, they are wrong.
I thought of that young, chubby Jabari Parker as I watched this today. It's a promo video for the upcoming Duke season and it's pretty fun:
Bogan guard Luwane Pipkins was one of the most electrifying players in the city last season. Everytime I saw him he seemed to have one great half and one that was pretty rough. He'll be one of the state's top guards when he puts it all together, but in the meantime he's playing quarterback for the Bengals.
SIMEON'S NEW STAR GUARD
If you go to a lot of high-profile games you've probably seen a lanky guy in a hat shooting videos on the baseline. That's Scott Comeau, who shoots all kinds of great stuff for Ball Is Life. His latest video features a player you might not have heard of yet, but is expected to be one of the major breakout stars this season: Simeon guard Zack Norvell. Take a look here:

PAUL WHITE UPDATES
There is plenty to report about Young swingman Paul White. He's recovering nicely from his recent arm injury. And earlier today he revealed that he was opening his recruitment back up.
FENWICK STAR GOES DOWN
Fenwick's Scott Lindsey suffered an injury while on a visit to Vanderbilt this weekend. He's expected to return to action in December.
