Marist's Leah Bolton is in her fourth season on the RedHawks varsity.

What is it like being the captain in such a prestigious program?
I’m really happy that my teammates nominated me. I know I always have to keep my head up and be a role model on and off the court.

What opposing player would you love to have as a teammate?
Alyssa Siwek, from Mother McAuley. She works really hard. No matter how her game is going, she never gives up.

What is your favorite month?
It would have to be July, because it’s my birthday and I usually travel to a lot of different places to play basketball. And it’s hot.

What thing totally annoys you?
When people ask me a question when they already know the answer.

You’re cooking dinner for the team. What’s on the menu?
Pasta, because it’s the easiest thing to cook and I like it the best.

Would you rather have your picture taken or be taking a picture?
Taking a picture. You know (laughing), everyone has their bad days and I’m not too photogenic sometimes.

If you could trade places with one of your teammates for 24 hours, who would it be?
Claire Ryan. She just always has a great attitude about everything. She’s a great leader and just a nice person to be around.

Do you have any nicknames?
My teammates call me Lee-Lee or Leebo.

Your dream celebrity prom date. Who is it
Channing Tatum. I’ve always had a little celebrity crush on him.

When you look in the mirror, what does it tell you about yourself?
I see a teenager, athletic, a girl who is trying to accomplish all of the goals that she set for herself.
