Tommy Mister, of Richards, cuts to the outside against Shepard at Richards, Friday, October 5rd, 2012 in Oak Lawn, IL. | Gary Middendorf~For Sun-Times Media

Tommy Mister, one of the state’s most sought-after football prospects in the 2014 class, fueled speculation he is transferring from Richards — possibly to St. Rita — with a series of cryptic comments on his Twitter account.

On Saturday, Mister tweeted, “Who knows ppl from St. Rita. Gimme someones number.”

Later that day, he added, “Bout to make this move!!!”

Those words may have brought some unwanted negativity Mister’s way, judging by a Monday tweet: “People dont even know my situation so how can you judge me.”

And later that day: “After tonight I just cant wait to move and never come back.”

Mister lives in Oak Lawn. But, sources said, his family is moving to Lansing. That would render most eligibility questions moot, as long as principals from both schools sign concurrence forms agreeing to the transfer.

Wednesday at the SouthtownStar All-Area football banquet, Mister and his parents declined comment.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound Mister started the season as the Bulldogs’ quarterback. However, he suffered a Week 2 ankle injury on Aug. 31 during a 15-13 loss to Morris.

Sophomore Hasan Muhammed-Rogers stepped in the following week against Evergreen Park and performed well.

Mister agreed to shift to running back, saying at the time, “I just want to do what’s best for the team.”

Mister returned later as the team’s go-to tailback. He finished the season with 1,076 yards and 15 touchdowns and helped Richards to the South Suburban Red title. The Bulldogs lost to Lemont in the Class 6A quarterfinals and finished 10-2.

Mister, who is being primarily recruited as an athlete, has been offered scholarships by Notre Dame, Illinois and Indiana.
