A new boys track and field season is upon us and Chicago's northern suburbs have a number of talented athletes to watch for this spring.

Last year as a junior, Niles West's Denis Gargovic placed sixth in the shotput at the Class 3A state meet. Evanston's Carl Klamm came in 11th in the 800-meter run as a sophomore at the 2013 Class 3A state meet. New Trier senior Peter Cotsirilos finished 17th at the Class 3A boys cross country state meet in the fall.
